CTET July 2020 Notification: According to the RTE Act Section 23, Sub Section (1), the National Council of Teacher Education released a notification dated 23 August 2010 and 29 July 2011. In this notification, NCTE makes the teacher eligibility test as the essential qualification for a candidate to be eligible to recruit as a teacher for class I to VIII. In order to be nominated as a teacher in the schools referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act, the candidate should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test. This test is conducted by the respective Government as per NCTE guidelines.


The Central Board of Secondary Education is going to conduct the 14th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test in the month of July this year. CTET july 2020 is conducted in 112 cities of the country and in about 20 languages.

The CTET exam is conducted to provide eligibility to the candidates to nominate a teacher in central government schools like NVS / KVS / Tibetan.  This examination is conducted only to provide eligibility for the candidates who are going to face the teacher recruitment process organized for the Central Government schools. In simple words, the candidates who have passed CTET Exam can be nominated only in the central government schools.


No state government can recruit any candidate based on the rank achieved in CTET exam. The state government conducts separate eligibility tests to nominate teachers in the schools organized by the concerned government schools.

The Central Board of School Education has released the CTET notification to conduct the eligibility test for 2020 session. All the important schedules related to the CTET exam are given below. CTET July 2020 – Exam Pattern

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2020 (TET) contains two exams.

  • The Paper – I — Primary Stage ( Class I to Class V)
  • The Paper-II — Elementary Stage ( Class VI to VIII)

The candidate who chooses the first paper I will handle the class I to V whereas who appears in paper II will teach class VI to VIII. The candidate who fulfill the eligibility can apply for both the exam. Both the exam contains 150 objective type questions and having a duration of 02: 30 minutes.

Candidate can appear for both the exam. Candidate plan to prepare for the exam separately as both the exam organized with the different syllabus.
